how’s the universe doing today? huhuhu. Amal’s been pointing out that alot of people have been talking to the universe lately. i’m just doing it for comic relief! lol. its 8am. and im thinking what i shuld be doing after blogging. Everyone’s either at work or at school and im wide awake at 8AM trying to decide.. trying to decide what ah?? NOTHINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! hahahahaha.

id go to the gym but i have no car. lol havent got the car fixed yet. so ive been gettng Mani to send me everywhere. Kinda makes it worst though..cause now i feel like im 12 and im on SCHOOL holidays. I asked him to send me to Harun’s gym (ONLY FOR BADMINTON) the other day and we went round and round the area to figure out where it was… when i told Mani it could be the PGGMB building.. he was like

‘Bokan Siti!!! Ini ba parking bertengkadddddd ba sini ba! Dulo saya ingggaaddd masa dulo siti skolah STPRI ada eksersais sinniii!!!!!’

huhuhuhu skulah stpri dang. ancient jua driver ku ani hahahaha. but seriously the things that comes out of his mouth sometimes.. HILARIOUS. maybe i shud make a twitter for ‘shit-mani-says’? lol. Anu atu lah cali yang ariatu..

Maybe i should write an article on 10 things to do when you become jobless grape. . yes that’ll be fun. so far my daily regime goes like this plang.. inda plang ku tau sampai 10 kh inda.. aku try ah.. huhuhu

1. 8AM wake up. either go back to sleep or wake up to bake.
2. 10AM in the case of going back to sleep i’d wake up at 10 the latest and proceed to blog.
3. 10:30AMusually done in half an hour unless i have to update my other blog.
4. 11:30either have twitter,facebook or msn for breakfast.
5. yawn.
6. call either molly and kel to say hi. if not talking to any of them..for some reason.. i will switch on the tv. and torture myself with AFC till about lunch time.
7. 12:30pm lunch with babu. either this or BJ picks me up for lunch somewhere..
8. a quick cat nap.
9. msn. twitter. facebook.
10. this..till about 5:30pm? thats when i start to pack my stuff for the gym.
11: spinning classes from 6:30 to 7:30. and then drinks with anyone who’s available for drinks.
12. balik mandi..facebook msn twitter.. skali tidur.

boring kan?? kamu pun boring membaca kali!! wouldnt be nice if i get to live like a rich socialite between this time when im not working and when i finally start work? my days would go down so much better! huhu..

oh my. i feel like eggs benedict. Universe, just to let you know..ill be blinking my eyes 3 times in a bit.

wat time is it??? its not even 7am. and im wideeeee awake. i tink i was in bed by 9pm last nite. haha. talk about early. i’m probably just exhausted from the travelling and what not..not to forget that melbourne is 3hrs ahead of brunei..so i tink im probably going through a mini jet lag as well. well, lets see if im in bed by 9pm again tonite. honestly, i dont mind sleeping early because beauty is sleep and sleep is beauty 🙂

ive got something at 8am. and then im free the whole day. no idea what im going to do. sucks not havinga job. i think im the only one in house who is officially a penganggur now. mal’s working kel’s been working for ages now.. and here i am.. contemplating sleep or telivision at 7am in the morning.

Maybe i should start testing new recipes to add on to Thecakery. i bought a few bags full of really good chocolate while i was in Melbourne..i really dont know how people do it. like come out with a set of items to sell at once. I reckon they’ve all probably been baking all their lives! cause its not easy coming out with a full proof recipe..exsp one that requires measurements and an oven! honestly, i was never in to baking. infact i used to hate it with a passion. It wasn’t until i tried out my first brownie recipe that i tot i had a knack for it..even then i still wasnt in love. The love affair with baking only began when i successfully made my first batch of choux pastry and turned them in to fluffy golden profiteroles!

speaking about baking.. i managed to catch Julie & Julia on the plane. FINALLY. a good foodie movie! i had high expectaions on ‘No Reservations’ (Cath Zeta) being the next foodie movie of the decade but unfortunately apart from chefs throwing tantrums in the kitchen, it really didnt hit a high note with me. Infact, the last good foodie movie i saw was Chocolat, just like the book it was DELICIOUS..they even threw in Johnny Depp for DESSERT! WOOT WOOT!! hahaha.. I think Like Water for Chocolate wouldve been good too, if only it was in english.. the version that i saw was a direct translation of the book haha it was in spanish too! dubbed in english! lol. i can’t wait for hollywood to come out with a contemporary version of it. Although i have a feeling they already did in the form of ‘ Simply Irresistible ‘ starring Michelle Gellar. I remembered watching it over and over on vcd when it first came out. 10 years later, finally found a copy of the movie on ebay and ive only seen it once ever since! the food cinematography’s fabulous however, the story line’s abit on the cliched side..and haha it took me 10 years to realise that people. lol. Another good foodie movie to watch out for is in the form of K-drama titled, My Lovely Samsoon.

Like all the movies i mentioned, Julie & Julia is another foodie collectible. Starring Meryl Streep!! (EEEPSSS MERYL STREEP!) as Julia Child and Amy Adams as blogger Julie Powell. Its a story about two ladies from different times both in love with their food and cooking. Julie feeling lost about life decided to open up a blog that would record her trials and triumphs with recipes from Julia Child’s cook book titled ‘Mastering the art of French Cooking’. The movie on the other hand, tells Julia Child’s journey in France as some sort of an American diplomat’s wife. Not having anything to do she filled up her days at cooking classes at Le Cordon Bleu and decided to write a book on French Cooking for American readers as they weren’t any at that time. Both women share loving husbands that were supportive of their careers (BLESS!!!), both found some sort of orgasmic joy in cooking… you’d just have to watch it la! hahaha.. its a really feel-good movie. and i can’t wait for it to come out on dvd…! Now im thinking if i should open up a food blog of my own.. huhuhu anyway,

Ive got babyface playing on my itunes. his 2005, Grown Sexy album. This album will forever remind me of melbourne and the Hassan sisters. I’m back. had to cut trip short due to a ‘sound-promising-and-im-very-hopeful-that-i-will-get-it’ commitment. i just hope this is it,my calling..please let this be my calling.

I realised that there’s no point in planning. you can plan plan plan plan plan plan plan all your life but at the end of the day its up to god as to whether it will come accordingly or not. Hey, i planned on holidaying in melbourne for 2 weeks.. 3 days later, i had to go on the next flight home. Coming home for good last January, i had planned alot of things. i wanted alot of things..and 11 months later, i find myself back where i was 3 years ago.. not really knowing what to do next..

The recebt short trip to melbourne made me realise something important.. ive learnt from here and now on that i should just go with the flow.. take whatever comes as it is. plan less, live more 🙂 inshallah, everything will fall in to place. amin.

I heard a song playing in one of the bookstores earlier today and i was like..hey. i recognize this smoky sultry voice. true enough it belonged to Julie London. Now i’ve got Her, Sarah Vaughan and Ms Fitzgerald lined up on my youtube playlist. There’s just something about jazz music that is calming..mcm it feels like you’re going for a massage..but you’re not. u know?
