ubi keledek.

Currently in the middle of a two-week meeting marathon somewhere in Russia. Eh, salah, China. A part of China that looks surprisingly Russian. Who would’ve guessed?

I’m in Dalian, a coastal city dotted with Russian architecture, with Pyongyang just across the sea.

I’ve only been here two days, but every dinner has already turned into a hunting expedition. Unlike other Chinese cities, Dalian’s halal food scene is practically non-existent. We searched “halal” on Google Maps and found only three places. Two of them, we couldn’t even locate.

We took a DiDi to one of the venues and got completely lost when we arrived. It was in a very remote area, and according to the map, the restaurant was somewhere inside a building. The building ani lagi dodgy. Dim, sketchy, and reeking of strong Chinese cigarettes.

I stepped through the door, took one quick look around, realised where I was, and dashed straight back out.

it’s ok bah ah daripada kana subject to human trafficking, aku rela maken udang sama ubi keledek for lunch hari hari (which is what they’ve been serving delegates at the meeting venue)

ubi pun ubi lah.

8 more days of this.

Good luck to me.

added: doi ma popia vege ganya halal optionnya masa lunch.
