My Celcom

Kenapa since ku balik ani banyak tia complain ku???? kenapa nah kenapa kenapa??

Its good to know that ive got people backing me up on my last post. Pasal its true. and Sas brought up a really good point. Our attendance has to be 85% and above. If it falls below this number what do we get? We get sent home and banned in to coming in to Australia for 3 consecutive years!!! And we can’t afford to double fail a subject cause that too would send us packing our bags home and banned from coming in to Australia. And the australian government , these days are very high tech when it comes to tracking our attendance atu. everything’s done systematiclly that even if you think they’re not watching. THEY ARE WATCHING.

You think, sekulah atu sanang kah? kan ke skulaaaaaaaaaaaaah saja ari ari?? kami mau jua INDA SKULAH & PASS. Di london atu pebaik tah umur 50 taun tu graduate. ndaaa papa tu.

ANYWAY. ON TO ANOTHERRRR TOPIC.

KAMU TAU KAH RUPANYA TASEK LAMA DI BANDAR ATU MALAYSIA???

We were following the path to Sheraton Hotel bah this morning. And this comprised of a few pain stalkingly high hills. We were somewhere at the top when my friend had to call her mom (pasal mamanya bejalan sudah ke imigresen..tapi bukan plang tani becakap pasal ani) Anyway,She was on the phone for 2 minutes before she realised that the service provider on her phone was MY CELCOM and not DSTCare.

I could understand if we were on the borders of Brunei and Miri. Even then, this shouldn’t happen. But ani. WE WERE IN BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN. Smack bang in the middle of the city. perasahan ku kan keatas bukit atu nada becap passport ku kan malaysia. upon realising this, aku yang kepoh ani called up org dst on HER behalf.

Some lazy ass person picked up my call and when i told her about this she was all “OH. KENAPA TAH INDA KITA TUKAR KE DSTCOM MANUALLY, PASAL ANDANGNYA TU SANA ATU FREQUENCY MY CELCOM ATU KUAT TU SANA ATU.”

i was going WOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.. labeh jua kedia ani.. (in my head)

so this is how the rest of the conversation went:-
Me: mana tah ku tau diatas ani MYCELCOM. Pasalnya, aku ani setau ku di BRUNEI bah. Bukannya semua semua mesti DST kah kalau di brunei ani? bukannya ku kan KE MIRI ataupun ke Limbang.. di BANDAR ku bah nie.
Her: ah andangnya tu frequency nya sana!
me: jadinya, tadi aku nelipun mama ku atu, kira roaming tah tu????
her: awu. pasal my celcom kan.
me: eh???? how could that be? di brunei jua ku ni?? kenapatah paksa be roaming d negeri sendiri??? i want you to reimburse my money. pebaik tah sedikit. inda jua fair tu.
her: inda dpt!
me: eh. siapa kau ani kan becakap inda dpt. mana boss mu?
her: paksa kita ke counter tu membuat complaint.
me: apatah plang aku sendiri membuat complaint. kau nda dpt?
her:inda.
me: tapi cana buleh brg ani terjadi in the first place.
her: eh andangnya bah NYANTA EH. DI KAMPONG AYING ATU PUN MY CELCOM TU KADANG2.
me: lain jua kamu ani. bah eh. bye.

She wasn’t even being apologetic about it. pfft. boring jua eh.

but yeah anyway,

WOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII. rupanya orang di KG AYING ani salama ani ORG MALAYSIA??

skalinya..baik tah membuka KASTAM di atas tasek atu barangkali, mun diatas atu MYCELCOM.

buleh kah mycelcom? perasahan ku nada ku becap passport kan ke malaysia kan kesana atu tadi pagi. mun ku tau bebata baju mandi ku kan tarus ke sunway lagoon.

but hello? how could it be that (now she has mentioned it) around Kg air area atu pun Mycelcom service provider durang?? what’s happening? untong durang tu eh. rugi jua tu. pebaik tah brapa puluhsen ganya. mun semua org betelipun ke KG AIR. kaya jua kali eh. dpt jua membali gigi amas. … 10.

tapi andangnya kah??? cani ani?? can someone enlighten me on this matter ?

kiss me.

Mind Set Change.

Its shit how we Australian graduates (or any other graduates that aren’t from UBD or UK) still get discriminated here in brunei as if are a different race and not Bruneians. I mean. fuck off lah. seriously. I am sick of people giving me the condesending look whenever i tell them that i’ve graduated from Melbourne and not “NOttingham” or “birmingham” or “manchaster” or “henglan” or “landan” . Although this is not a new experience for me. I’ve had people giving me shit since i started my Year 11 education at a all girl’s boarding school in Melbourne. Which was a goood 7 years ago. They’d be like “Mana ko krg ani”. and ill be like “melbourne”. and they’ll be like kenapa inda “UK??” accompanied by that look that says “mahal kah uk inda mampu?” . and i’ll be like “inda. malas ku ke UK atu. jauh.” and they will proceed to brag to me and my sisters how their anaks, anak tiri, cucu, cucu bapanya, cucu nininya, anak tiri bapanya semua ke uk.

I’ve recently got the same comment from a Doctor i visited at a local clinic. Where she had asked me in a british accent where i have graduated from… like wise, the same conversation as above followed through.

me: melbourne.
her: kenapa australia.
me: i dont know. i like it there.
her: scholarship kah?
me: inda.
her: self funded?
me: yes.
her: oh.. the education in australia is cheaper kah?
me: no not really. its about the same. education wise. but standard of living maybe. depends how you live.
her: oh. no. but its still cheaper. u know. with the currency exchange of UK now.
me: kenapa you di uk kah?
her: *mcm terasa*.. awu.

PADANTAH. ko tau kah. i didn’t choose MELBOURNE because i cant afford to go to the UK. I chose Melbourne. cause melbourne is the place to be. i didn’t want to be SWARMED with culture shocked brueneians who pressure themselves with new upcoming designer BAGS and the latest trends in cocktails at funky buddha? (whatever that place is called!). i dont give a shit. boring bah boring. KE LANDAN atu CLICHE sudah bah. mcm wayang superman. and you can just go “oh i study law in nottingham.” anytime when it really should be “Oh i studied LAW in a SHIT school in Nottingham.” I acknowledge that UK is one of the established education providers in this world. But common lah, just because he or she is a uk graduate doesn’t mean that they’re all that.

It’s not that i’ve never been to london, infact, i would love to go again ..its just that i don’t understand bah.. why other qualifications that aren’t from UK are still seen as lower. Australian education are ranked highly or more or less the same as uk education in our neighbouring countries like singapore, malaysia. We need a mind set change.

I apologize if ive offended anyone tapikan sadang sadang style lama ani bah. buring bah. beg gucci tebali kamu style baru.

oh. and UK can eff off.,I dont care what you people say, im going back to melbourne to do my masters where i can still sleep comfortably on my laura ashely sheets and spend the other half of my allowance on something better other than RENT.

pebaik tah skulah di india tu.

kiss me.

No Tasek Tasek. More wedding preparations talk.

Yesterday, I was too tired that i almost lost my balance on one of the bukits. My exhaustion’s probably due to lack of sleep AND PMS. I’ve been coming home late from Nini Boy’s place every night since Monday and i have to wake up around 6-6;30 each morning to go to the tasek. Suprisingly, even with the exhaustion, muscle aches and lack of sleep..i haven’t lost anything. Kamy thinks squashing and hiking is just our reason to eat more. and i couldn’t agree more! what a waste. It’s really hard to control your makan when you are faced with ayam goreng and satay urat every single night at your nini’s place. Only a crazy person would turn that down.

Anyway, I’ve decided to take this weekend off squash and tasek. I’m recharging my body for monday. inshallah. huhuuhu.

I love family gatherings. Almost everything funny happens at family gatherings. Last night, my aunties were talking about chocolates to give away as gifts. One aunty suggested that we should give out ferrero rochers. When my other Aunty heard this she went ballistic saying that ferrero rochers are too expensive. Another aunty bugged in and said that they should just give one biji along with the bunga to each guests. It was the aunty who suggested we should give out ferrero rocher’s turn to go mental saying; “indakan sebiji ganya!!!” my aunty who said sebiji would be enough replied “Awulah! indakan sebiji! fruit tella lah dangannya!!”.. my other Aunty then said “Awu eh. Inda kan Sebiji, krg kana galar karang jamputan SEBIJI selama lamanya. membari malu.”

wahahahahahaa. ada kah JAMPUTAN SEBIJI. hahahahahaha.

Before settling on Ferrero rocher they were brain storming on what chocolates to give as gifts. And here’s the list:-

Merci
Patchi
Choki Choki (laughter) My Amit was like, hahaha Oi Ti!! main BETAKAN lagi tu makan. haha inda jua bisai meliat jamputan makan coklet BETAKAN.
Tora (more laughter)
I came up with Gula Gula Bendera. I don’t know if any of you would remember this, my mom used to get them for us all the time when we were kids, its candy in a long stick connected to a MALAYSIAN FLAG. hahahaha Sudah pun gula2 bendera. bendera malaysia lagi tu obviously there were more and more laughter.
Tikam Tikaman

hahaha then Amit came up with..

GULA GULA PUTING.

AHAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHA.

hahaahha. banar jua nya amit ku atu. hahaha. adakah gula gula puting. those of you who werent born in the gula2 puting era. this is what it looks like:-

null

wahahahaha. and then my amit said:- “Awu. baru ya. mendangar tah kamu jamputan SANYAP tu.”

hahahahahaha.

kiss me.

Mari mari menyamcong dirumah nini boyku.

Siti: Alum.
Bapa: oh. its connecting the connection.

I Heart Tasek. Tasek Ronggeng.

Tasek was great! Caught the early birds dancing to the chinese version of Joyful joyful. hahahaha. Took me a while to figure out what song they were ronggeng-ing to when kamy pointed out that they were COUNTING in Chinese to the song JOYFUL JOYFUL in chinese. hahahahahaha.

I managed to take a couple of videos before making my way to the first bukit.

Ronggeng Nombor One:-

and this is video numero one. huhu. Notice the 3 people yang siok sendiri! i enjoyed watching them minding their own business grooving to the err.. music .. or whatever.

When the music stopped, i was like “Eh. Abis tia?” and the man in blue (the one yang siok sendiri!) was like: “eh balom..adaaa lagey!!!” . hahaha. kiut.

so this is video numero 2. watch kamy in action. huhuhu. notice mikin ramai orang join siok sendiri? hahaha meriah bah.

paloi. abis tia memory ah. lainkali ingati ku membali memory card basar2.

and here’s something for my girls in Melbourne

Bapa came pun! He took the boys (Rahim,Rafie & Aziz) for a quick jog around the place. ok. so maybe the “jog” is slightly slower than normal. huhu. lets call it a walk. WALK. ..dont worry. pindik saja ni video nya hahaha.

siok ah meriah!! hahaha. they should think of renaming the tasek to TASEK RONGGENG.

Will be going again tommorow. I’ll be holding an aerobics session. We will be moving it to that KOPI LUCINDA JINGLE.

~Hari hari minum kopi lucinda..~~ huhuhu. jan marah.

kiss me.

Skupong.

help! ive run out of things to say!!!!!! It’s a lazy sunday. Mom’s cooking up a storm. Rendang and boiled cockles for lunch. So its not exactly DORCHESTER HIGH TEA and it certainly doesn’t sound like the perfect match for a Sunday brunch. Huhuhu I haven’t had real fresh cockles from the pasar in ages ages ages and i can’t wait! Used to have it all the time as a kid. Back in the day when turtles made alot of babies, we used to have cockles and talur panyu almost every other weekends. Ani a KILO of talur panyu’s like buying a silver necklace from tiffany & co. haha. mcm bepikir jua tu?

tiffany & co ka?
talur panyu ka?
tiffany & co ka?
talur panyu ka?

I used to love going with my mom to pasar gadong..haha i wish i could say the same for my mom. who always scolded us at that time for being a nuisance. Everytime we complain about the small she would go “KALAU INDA TAHAN BAUNYA, JANGAN IKUT. AND don’t put your hand over your nose like that, ITS RUDE!!!”. So there we were. Me and Amal kain besing-sing (supaya inda basah), walking hand in hand at the pasar.. FIGHTING TO KEEP OUR FOOD DOWN. My favourite part of the pasar has got to be level 2. Cause Thats where they sell all the tikamans and those sticky blue-tac like things that turns in to a balloon when you blow in to it with a straw apakah namanya tu?? kami
panggil “belon”. huhuhu. I also liked watching old ladies menggarut kelapa with their machines. Mainly because the fresh coconut reminded me of snow. lol. Back when i was 8 coconut at the pasar’s probably the closest thing i could get to a mountain of snow. hahahahaha. kesian kan?

I can’t remember the last time i paid a visit to the pasar. I should go again but the fishmongers there are soo sleezy. bleuch. bepurdah ku kali dulu. huhuhu.

kiss me.

Going to Masin straight after lunch to mengatam padi. I’m not sure what that is, but it definitely sounds like an excercise. huhu. mengatam. hmm…
