Had dinner at Ling Nams with Nawa & Nadia . The Hassan sisters. It was either Ling Nam or Ling Nan. The sign at the front of the shop read “Ling Nan” and the sign below it read “Ling Nam”. Its probably just a matter of spelling error but it also could be that it that the restaurant owner couldn’t decide which chinese panda bear name to use.

I’m at Tammy’s place now, trying to finish off what’s left of my strategic management assignment. Although it is proving to be a really difficult task for me.Her apartment’s really cozy and she has provided me with two bean bags that just screams “sleep on me” “sleep on me!” .

The text message you recieved was hilarious nat. I’ve always been a fan of Natalie’s writings. She’s so funny. Even funnier in real life. Not the annoying kinda funny. But funny. She’s really direct and most of the time, i dont think she realises the stuff she’s saying is funny. Me & my sisters love going out for coffee with her and her ‘bestfriend’ Ching Ee cause they make great entertainment. Nat is so funny that she calls her bestfriend Ching Ee, “Bestfriend” – they call each other “bestfriend”. This is how her conversation with Ching Ee would usually sound like:-

Natalie: Aiya bestfriend!! we should go!!!
Ching Ee: Aiya..cannot la bestfriend! i have something to do!!
Natalie: Bestfriend!! dont be like that lah!!
Ching Ee: Next time ok?
Natalie: *sulks in hokkien* wo ching ching nei ai tu hwsuwehueh bestfriend!!
Ching Ee: Bestfriend!!!!!!!!!!

Nat & Ching Ee are kinda like the three stooges with one stooge gone fishing.

Krispy Kremes have been opened in melbourne for almost 3 months now…and ive never been because they’ve located their one and only store out in zone 3. Which is like 2 hours away from the city by train. So i really cannot be bothered. But rumours has it that they’re opening a store in the city sometime this month. They might’ve opened already. I dont know. Starbucks and Krispy Kremes are suddenly popping up around melbourne like mushrooms. There’s three on Swanston now. One on Bourke Street, there’s even a starbucks on glenferrie road now a few blocks away from my old boarding school. Woah. very good ah now little kids can lepak at starbucks.. However, the sight of starbucks on every corner of the streets is really giving me goosebumps. But its true, no matter how over-rated you seem to think starbucks is, they’re really not. For a large franchise,they still live up to the expectations as being the NUMBER ONE COFFEE IN AMERICA AND THE WORLD and certainly does serve up one of the best coffees in town. Mahal saja. That’s why i’d rather get my mocha from any one of the little cafes that are littered around the city. One of the best places to have coffee in the city has definitely got to be one of the cafes in Federation Square (Timeout,Chocolate Buddha,Transport etc..ectc) and Brunetti’s on swanston. Simply because they have spectacular views of the city in the evening. It’s really breath taking.

anyway. Two assignments to hand in this week. We’re celebrating “crazy week” again!

ps: oh. people back home. you can now enjoy Krispy Kremes – in Jakarta. Why havent they opened one up in singapore ah? If only brunei had the market for Krispy Kremes..and i had an extra US$1,000000 lying around *sigh*

Just finished class. Im still at uni, accessing my daily reads from the computer lab, some accesible some no. Bryanboy’s site has been banned as well as a few others..overuse of the word f**k me thinks.

Me and my sisters were invited to Inta’s farewell dinner at Cecconi’s last night. Fabulous food and great company to disguise the very sad occassion. All the girls were all smiles and laughs until Inta gave out her speech..something along the lines of “if you’re here tonight that means you are special” made me chokeup. I really thought she’d be the last person i know to leave Melbourne. Oh well. Life has just got to move on. That’s just the way it is. I wish her good luck for all of her future undertakings.

Oh and i highly recommend the squid ink pasta. hehe.

On another note, Check out Moskvitch – Inta’s sister Amanda & her band MOSKVITCH made it top on the Prambors 102.2FM charts (a popular indo radio station). With electronica-pop hits like International ; they’re set to rule the world.I knew she’d go far with that deep shaky vocals of hers. Congrats mando…and berlin, munich and newyork you will go!

Hi, My name is syaz. I come from Brunei. I am the eldest of six. I have a father and mother. And they both love me very much. I think they love me more than my other siblings. That’s because im the eldest. Parents always have a soft spot for their eldest and prettiest child. My father is funny sometimes serious. My mother is serious but she can easily laugh. She likes Mr Bean. As a kid,I remember how her eyes would water from lauging at Mr Bean on tv. I don’t know why. Mr Bean is not funny.

Molly is my second sister. She’s 2nd because she’s not 1st or 3rd or 4th or 6th. She’s very smart. She does science at uni. But she can also be anal. I guess that comes with being the middle child. Babies should wish they’re never born the middle child..simply because it sucks.Nicknaming herself Anal Amal, she does all the cleaning,scrubbing and washing around here. fun. at least she seems to think so. but she’s very smart. and always funny at the odd times -like when no one’s in the mood. hahahahahahahahaha.

Come to think of it. All of them apart from me and the youngest one ,Aziz are middle childs. middle CHILDREN so to speak. Here’s why;-

There’s two sets of us.That makes 3 in melbourne, 3 in brunei. the first 3 grew up together (me,molly,kelly). the second set grew up together..Tharwana,Rahim and Aziz (they all dont have orang puteh names yet cause they haven’t been overseas for six years). ok. If we were to put all six together in a box, Kel and Tharwana should be the middle children..based on statistics, they’re both the median of six. But since they are two sets, Molly is the middle child of 3 and Rahim is the middle child of the other 3. Jadinya, kalau kan dikirakan. MOLLY,KELLY,THARWANA sama RAHIM semua ampit jadi middle children. hahahaha. It gets confusing. But if you’re not the middle child. you’ll get it. hahahahahaha.

Now i wonder what’s the point of living. lets face it guys,middle children arent babies who can get away with murder.

back to my story.
Kelly the 3rd child. She’s the 3rd because she’s not the 1st 2nd 4th 5th or 6th. her real name is Aqilah. we used to call her ‘a-que’, ‘kill’ when we were little.No. she’s not a fan of kelly clarkson. 2 years ago she started asking everyone to call her Kel; “bukan Kill, KEl”. Maybe the name Kel really came from my dad calling her “Akel” all the time. As time passes..kel pun betukar menjadi kelly..dan jenama coklet Koko Jelly akan ditukar ke Koko Kelly. wah wah wah. She’s probably the funniest among all the six of us. Sings and plays the guitar well. Her biggest issue other than PMS is her moustache.

I will not expose the identity of the last 2 middle children and the baby of the family. I’m too malas..and im sparing you all from all of my snobbery-first-child-syndrome-bullshit.

My hobbies are, singing, sleeping, cooking and eating. I am also fond of bullying (helo? this post?) A trait embedded in all the first child in the first child planet. i suffer from what i like to call the first-child-syndrome. I might also have suffered from a lil bit of brain damage from all the attention..(it clearly shows in this post)

Speaking of which, I had a friend who went to brain damage school.Her parents thought it would be a good idea for a normal kid to be educated by profesh help..That way they turn out more Intillegent than most normal kids. She is also a middle child..so i think..it was more of an experiment on her parents’ part (no suprises there!). It was just by dumb luck that she turned out fine: I quote the-friend-who-went-to-brain-damage-school:-

“The nurse was my only friend there,she kept me sane i was the only normal one in the school”.

But true enough, she really did came out smart and was the first one from my batch to graduate.I am now looking in to sending all my future middle kids and grand middle kids to brain damage school.

But then again not all parents are brave enough, not to mention have a lot of money left over for middle children, to send them to brain damage school. So why are they still smart?

easy peezy lemon squeezy – Books are cheaper than toys. hwahwahwa.

Being a middle child may have a lot of downsides. But hey, look on the bright side. they’re smart. they can clean. they’re more independent and all the bullying from the first kid might’v made them slightly cookoo,but at the same time it has also made them stronger, mature , more sensible people.. just what the future needs. Thank god there’s 4 of them in my family.

Being a middle child might not really work on the short run.. but in the long run, it’ll be okay. 🙂

Nonna’s lived up to my expectations. The italian hot chocolate was the best italian hot chocolate in the italian hot chocolate planet. So was the ice chocolate. I may type chocolate as “chocolate” but im really saying it like this:-

Having a quiet friday night at home. It’s 2.08AM so its technically Saturday morning. Kel’s on the couch watching the Kdrama series MY LOVELY SAMSOON. This is also her 100th time watching it.

u know what i hate?
The shops at QV. Shops like Third Millenium , Cactus Jam , Copenhagen dll. I hate how they hide the price tags deep in the ‘jungle’ of their dresses. As if its done intentionally so that the sales girl can tell the rich shoppers and poor shoppers apart. Rich shoppers just buy whilst the poor shoppers seem to fuss with the dresses endlessly until they find the $454.95 price tags – Its a conspiracy im telling you. I like Wayne Cooper though. I like how they put their $455 tags out in the open. That way their dresses stays wrinkle-free 😀

It just clicked me that i’m not a shoppaholic. I’m more of an impulse buyer. Which is 10 x the moon worse than a shoppaholic. At least a shoppaholic get to see the things that they bought. Whilst an impulse buyer spend most of their money on chewing gum , chocolates and keychains, that all they can see at the end of the day is a rounder,chubbier appearance..and they still wonder what they bought.

Melbourne’s jam packed with asians. When i see a white man on the street. i stare. seriously.

I get paranoid when i ride on the trams.Funny thing is, I’d rather be paro than buy a ticket.

I hate going to Uni on Mondays. So much, id rather buy a ticket to ride the trams to zone 1 ,2 and 3.
