Aku notice lately..12:15pm sama 4:30pm ani lambat kan datang. Kalau pukul 6:30 Am capat ya tu..sama 7:45am. pukul 2PM capat. Kalau hari Jumaat sama Hari Ahad.. lagi capat.. pukul 1 capat..pukul 2 capat..pukul 3 capat dan seterusnya.. try sleeping the whole day friday and sunday..and the next thing you know you’re waking up to a weekday.. i cry eh.

anyway..nuthing much. spent lunch at coffee bean with my org puteh friend. funny thing happened.. our drinks came..had the pure vanilla that came in a really cute cup.. and Liyana was all surprised at how cute the cup was..(like she’s never seen cups in her life ever) and the waiter went:

Waiter: awu la. mcm org yang order jua.
Liyana: cute kan ko ani???
Waiter: inda bah, org yang order bah yang cute.
*the table went silent*
after a few moments..

Me: Nah. ko mau nombor telipun ku kah? bah nah tulis tah tulis..

had a good run today. my running buddy and I managed to run a full round at the stadium in less than 30 minutes..initially it took us 45 minutes.. so its a good improvement. we’ve been running for what? 2 weeks now? my goal is to be able to run non stop for at least half an hour.

in other news.. nada. i wnted to stop by Joey’s to get One Fine Day on dvd. I was dicussing romantic comedies with a friend last nite and i just remembered that before You’ve got Mail there was One Fine Day! The one with all of that George Clooney love.. *cue in..what a man what a man what a man what a mighty good man*. haha. skali nya inda sampat! ive been trying to stream it online..but i dont know which site offers movie streaming..eh i want to watch eh. i want george clooney bah.

this is a continuation of my eyebrow story.

so i was at work today. filling in my eyebrows. when one my colleagues..lets call him KIPLI came in and asked me what i was doing.. “oh. u know!”, i said “filling in my eyebrows”. When my other colleague, which i will call BEEJtchy started laughing. So i was like. ok fine. my eyebrows are thin ok. LOOK. *points at eyebrows* NADA. so both MEN started laughing and continued to make jokes about my non existent eyebrows.

SKALI..nya si KIPLI ani.. ‘SYAZ SYAZ..INDA KAU PAKAI TEMPLATE???????’ si BEEJtchy menyambong, ‘AWU KO DRAW TABAL TABAL SHAPE KIRAI YANG KAU MAU ARAH PAPER SKALI RAKAT KE KIRAI MU’.

HA HA HA. funny kan? it was even funnier when KIPLI decided to draw me an EYE BROW template on a POST IT.. ANTAH CALI TAH KALI TU PERASAHANNYA.

I just came back from the Go Pink Foodie Event for Breast Cancer. Not knowing what recipe to contribute at first, i settled for my simple Banana Cake recipe. One of my many favourite things in this whole wide world.I was first introduced to the cake when i was studying in Melbourne by my good friend Kamy. She used to bring her version of the banana cake over during exam time..and i instantly fell in love with it. there’s just something about it that is oh-so-comforting. i dont know ah. maybe its the scent and the very flavors of nut meg & cinnamon that soothes the tastebuds..and then mom, i remember sometime during puasa last year made her version drizzled with butterscotch. now every one knows that banana cake + butterscotch is what LOVE is made of.

The simple recipe won me fourth place only losing one point to coconut jelly. i am so proud of myself. lol. something that you need to know about me, i dont need to be first place to feel like im on top of the world!

Will be selling the banana cake on The Cakery soon..and will be donating $2 for every banana cake sold to the Breast Cancer Support Group 🙂 Recipe should also be available in the Pink Foodie Recipe Book which will be out pretty soon. cant wait. i have to thank Pablo for pushing me to contribute a recipe. lol.

the event this afternoon was a success. thanks to the committee. good job everybody. and i apologize for not being able to contribute more of my time in coordinating the event…i hope everyone gets a good nite’s rest..

my eyebrows are small. moral of the story:- never trust a filo hairdresser with praying mantis thin eyebrows to do yours. aku sasak ni selalu ku kana.

exsp when you’re at the salon and they’re like a PACK of filipino hairdressers with ‘barely there’ eyebrows. So you commission ONE to do your eyebrows THE MOMENT you utter a shriek of resentment with what the BITCH has done..you find yourself surrounded by 5 MORE thin-eyebrowed-hairdressers.. in which one would quickly come to the rescue and say ‘mana ada. lawa ja’. the other one ‘no lah! nice!’ the third one ‘ya apa kan. mna ada bida!’ , the fourth ‘eh magandaaaaaa jua!’ the fifth ‘uRRe fes lk differeynt now. verry pretty ba!’

..and you’re like. ok maybe its not that bad. mcm at that point,you’ve been brainwashed to think that this SETAN *points at eyebrows* look is actually.. LAWA.

a little bit past midnight and i’m in the kitchen making butterscotch. the things that i do for bags and shoes. im just glad im not in the construction business! busy weekend ahead. of course there’s work related stuff and then there’s a wedding im catering for. i have no idea why i put myself through these things.

so shit. here i am. a few more stirs with the butterscotch and hopefully im done for the night.. i am running back and forth from the stove to my notebook.. unbereivabre! i know! my helpers are still spooning brownie batter in to the baking tins. i love how chocolate smells. you know what’s good now? a tub of Ben Jerry’s Yellow Cake batter ice cream..which supasave has ‘conveniently’ ran out of.

Ive got Ruth Sahanaya’s (Masa nya muda) Memori playing. and i just asked one of the new helpers if she knew this song.. she nodded and went.. ‘Ruth Sahanaya?’ . yes. Ruth Sahanaya. We used to sing this song all the time on the karaoke. Laser Disc punya! hahaha ‘Side A’ of the LD was cracked.. thank god this song was on ‘Side B’. this is PROOF that things last longer before ‘Made in China’. c hahaha the song was written and composed by Oddie Agam in which, without him i don’t think there will ever be any ‘evergreen’ (according to Syaz) songs from the malay/indo world. He’s the same composer who wrote ‘Antara Anyer Dan Jakarta’ made popular by Sheila. He also wrote songs for popular indonesian singers like Vina Panduwinata, Dewi Yul & Chrisye.
