Boring ku. Boring ring ring ring ring ring..

I went out wit Nat again today. This time for coffee at this place can’t remember what its called crammed in the lanes between Myer and GPO. Spent the rest of the afternoon getting lost at Borders. Didn’t buy anything. Although i did initially wanted to get this:

null

and a few other magazines (for toilet reading). But i was strapped for cash and plus i still haven’t finished reading my James Patterson. I’ve been reading his books for quite some time now that i find myself the need to read chick lit. This book the Unwed and The Undead has been around for quite some time now. I first saw it a BIG W and it was selling for $22 (don’t ask me why books are sooo over the top expensive here) hence why i didn’t get it right away. It’s gone down to $16 now. I didn’t realise the book was a part of the “Undead” series. In addition to “The Undead and the Unwed” there’s the Undead & the Unpopular , the Undead & the Unappreciated and The Undead and the Unreturnable and a few others. The book tells a story of a female vampire named Betsy who’s in to her monoloblahniks and what not. Kind of like Christopher Pike meets Sex and the City lah. It should be an interesting read.

back to toilet reading. Ive practically hafal IKEA’s catalogue for 2005 sudah. huhuhu..and Tiffany & Co’s 2004 Summer collection..so there’s an urgent need for new magazines in that section of the apartment. Life used to be so easy back in the boarding house. I used to be able to subscribe to anyyyy magazines and have it billed to my school account (of course mom wasn’t so pleased about this). I used to have copies of vogue cosmo and cleo neatly stacked on the table in my room at every start of the month. Oh how spoilt we were (or I was)! huhuhu. Now it’s like mcm karit bah kan ngeluarkan usin atu. With shopping blogs online there’s hardly any need for me to get them anymore. Other things that we were allowed to charge to our school accounts were things sold at the pharmacy down the street. Mind you the pharmacies here bukannya bejual ubat saja..i used to charge everything from Ralph Lauren perfumes to sanitary pads (the pricey Libra kinds) to stuffed teddy bears to my account at one point i even bought a HAIR STRAIGHTENER with the school account. Kalau ada Maggi. Maggi pun ku charge ke account kali. hahahaha. Doi awal ani. Mudis pun bebata dari Brunei. YANG WHISPER??

hahaha.

oh well.

have a good weekend everyone.

kiss me.

My class today got canceled. Thank god i checked my email before flying out of the door in a hurry. I was already half an hour later LATER aku ckp? lol. LATE i mean. Ya. I’m still having trouble waking up early in the mornings. Maybe i shouldn’t sleep anymore after this. as in no more afternoon naps for syazwana and only sleep at night. DAMN.

huhuhu..what im looking forward to. BOXING DAY. woohoo. I’ve never stayed around for boxing day because even if ive stayed here for summer term id usually go home during christmas breaks and only come back in January. Sale plang maseh but by then all the good stuff would be GONE. However, this year unless some miracle happens. I’m staying. Boxing day falls on the 26th of December and all of the shops in the city would be on a crazy sale.

50%!!!!!
60%!!!!
75%!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and there’s also going to be a DFO (direct factory outlet) opening just accross my house. Great time to buy shoes. Nat, i wonder if the little expensive frock shops on flinders lane (that seems to be seggregated from the rest of the world) are going on sale ha? or are they too good for boxing day sales?? I wonder what boxing day would be like in Sydney..crazy kali. cause they have more shops there.

The Sydney and Melbourne shopping experience are different altogether. First of all, What ive noticed during my short stay there, Sydney have bigger shopping mallss (in the city) and while Melbourne has a stretch of road assigned for the top knotch brands like Gucci, Prada, Hermes.. these shops in Sydney seems to be scattered everywhere. The Hermes that i saw the other day when i was in sydney was located next to a longkang. And there seems to be more little boutiques carrying Australian & International designer stuff in the city. I guess thats what makes Sydney great , cause you never know what great shop u’d find just around the corner. I think the same thing applies to melbourne, but in a different light. Shopping in Melbourne is a whole different experience. Designer shops hidden in little lanes. Similar to the restaurant, some shops are hidden underground, behind graffiti walls. Its crazy. and then there’s places like Chapel Street and Flinders Lane where cafes and jazz bars co-exist on a street dedicated to shopping. There are also newly renovated malls like QV and Melbourne Central that boasts stylish decors and a variety of new shops and cafes. If i was to choose shopping in Sydney ka Melbourne. I’d say Melbourne. Sydney’s too congested to enjoy shopping.

huhhu.
