Hmm.. i just finished downloading Siti NUrhaliza’s Transkripsi album off Limewire (sorry kak siti..). Yes. I’m secretly a fan of Siti Nurhaliza. I just realised that ive always made it a point to buy her original albums. huhu. This album unlike her other albums, has an indo kick to it. Melly, i think, produced if not one, a few of her songs including Biarlah Rahsia. It’s no wonder its been the talk of all indonesians out there. SECRETLY loving;-

On lygon you can really see Melbourne’s coffee culture coming to life.

My sisters and I went down to Lygon (also known as little Italy) for dinner at Ying Thai. I never noticed this but Lygon is canned packed with restaurants. It’s like this one road dedicated to food. On the way to Ying Thai, i felt like i was walking around Gadong’s Pasar malam and get this, instead of stalls streaming from one end to the other, u get countless numbers of restaurants and cafes. And instead of MIANG ABANGS you get waiters dressed in crisp black suites (whom i bet a really MAFIAS disguising as Waiters) standing outside trying to lure you to have a meal at their place;- (thick italian accent) “Ladies!! Pasta??? Gelato??” .

NO TENGKIOK!!!

Filled with sidewalk restaurants, you’re just simply spoilt for choice.

Lygon Street

Anyway, I was at Ying Thai same tuesday last week, i thought it was good so this time, i took my sisters with me. The place was as usual, packed with people. Shasha told me to try the Thai Ice Tea – that is if they had any cause apparently “THAI ICED TEA” IS THE SHIT. fo shizzle ma nizzle. AND OMG . IT WAS REALLY GOOD LAH SHA. SO GOOD, that i just had to have two glasses of it. Its like iced teh tarek but slightly orang-ey in colour and it’s more fragrant than the usual teh tarek.. its not Thai Iced Tea by the way.. to them (thai waiters) its “Taaai , Aihhh (ice), Teeee” hahahahahahaha. Their english pronounciation can be very very bad i tell you. Lobster jadi “lofthter” lol.

Had the roasted duck SA-LAD , tom yum tee-food (seafood) , their version of sweet and sour fish and their Panang Chicken Red Curry… The Thai Iced Tea complimented the super duper hot hot blooody hot food nicely. SANDI nya urang.

The one with the PINK button like thingy on top is my Chai chocolate. huhuhuhu.

Went to get dessert after that. Stopped at koko-black to get my Chai Infused chocolates and truffles. Kel stopped to get Gelato and Molly went to this Nasi Lemak Place (the one with the ghetto aunty) for “TAPAU” ya ya believe it or not even after all that food we had she wasn’t even close to being FULL. Molly’s perut’s probably all the way up in Pluto..

Koko Black on Lygon Street.

Her friends have been raving about the nasi lemak place and suggested that she should try the Nasi Lemak Sea food. All this on one stretch of road. Its where Thailand ,Malaysia , China , Europe and parts of the middle east meets the rest of Italy. Belessimo!!

Anyway the AUNTY selling Nasi Lemak was rude. rude gila babi. Me and her almost got in to an argument about Halal chicken. Silly i know .. tapi kurang ajar bah. You know, i can understand how some people are just RUDE and not mean anything by it well same applies to this AuNty accept that she was just PUSHING IT.

Molly:- One Nasi Lemak Seafood please..
Nasi Lemak Aunty: Where you from ah???
Molly: Brunei.

Read you comment on POWER root, its actually sold here in brunei now, its kinda taste like redbull, been drinking it for a while now, feels revitalised every time after taking it,never thought of the tongkat ali to be a malay viagra though, but then again,it actually make one’s energy level increases to certain extent..hehe..im married just to let you know..no complaints from the mrs,after taking power root.(just to inform you that power root is available here in brunei i hope i dont sound dirty to you)

i’ve seen so many power root commercials here in brunei and i actually went to get one after sports. but mine wasnt the one with honey. it was power root ginseng something something and trust me, IT DOES NOT TASTE VERY NICE. mixture of chilli sauce and crap. made me start twitching. peace =)

I was gonna buy text books today when i realised i didn’t have my card with me. And then it clicked me that i havent seen it all weekend. My room’s still a mess.I’m thinking of clearing up most of the junk on the floor dulu and maybe just maybe it might be on the floor underneath the pile of clothes or something.If the card still doesn’t show up then im just gonna have to put a block on it and get a new one. Which will cost me another $15. pfft. There goes five bucks of my IDOLAMELBEN auditions money. WHY OH WHY do i keep losing things?

IDOLAMELBEN. yes. im auditioning for it. why? just because. Might as well. Everyone i know seems to be auditioning. Even my can’t-sing-for-shit friends are auditioning so i thought why not? My sisters and i went to Savira’s farewell dinner at Sophia’s Friday night.Food glorious food. Sophia’s been known to serve generous portions of food for a reasonable price. And it wasn’t bad pun AND it was HALAL AND the service was excellent. For a huge place like that surprisingly it was lah.. two floors more than 500 tables i think..the food came instantlly.Baru ya service. After Vira’s i went to Lin’s farewell party somewhere in the city. He’s also leaving next week. OMG. Everyone’s leaving. EVERYONE. Melbourne’s getting quiet and quieter….that reminds me.. Kat’s not coming back pun..pasal ya sibok.. jadi bini orang. huhu. sigh. I guess i should take this a sign for me to balik also soon.

Power root power root power root. The ad followed me back to Melbourne. I just can’t seem to get this drink out of my head. Mamalobengs feels the same way. We’ve been constantly bombarded by Power root ads that we are now actually curious to know what it tastes like.Since its not available in brunei, apatah lagi di MELBOURNE ive taken the initiative to surf through the internet for its ingredients so that i can have a fair idea on how it tastes like.

According to this Power root is made up of :-

Filtered Water (is it really?)
Tongkat Ali Extract (ahem)
Citric Acid
Fructose
Honey (kah horny?)
Yellow 5(CI19140),
Flavourings
Permitted Perservative. (like? a pinch of kacip fatimah?)

ok. i have not the slightest idea..but it definitely doesn’t taste like SUNVALLEY ORANGE JUICE lah..or MANISAN for that matter.

so ok. im cool with honey, yellow 5 (whatever the heck that is), flavourings etc etc etc.. but the Tongkat Ali, im not too sure. Yes tongkat ali is energising.. but to what extent? plus isn’t Tongkat Ali some sort of a viagra to the malay world? kan? i thought so too. I’ll be diplomatic and settle for ‘maybe, sikit saja tongkat ali dorang pakai..therefore tidak MEMUJARABKAN..kekeke’.

But i think kan guys, if Power root was to be made available in Brunei’s kedai runcits like Sehat Water, i reckon there would be RAPES. hahaha. Funny, but at the same time very disturbing. ive moved to the Bahamas. just kidding.

Back in melbourne, slowly adapting the cold weather..not. I almost went out of the apartment without a jacket and i opted for the tram instead of walking home in the cold. Melbourne is so cold and gloomy that I wish i have moved to the Bahamas.Ive enrolled and i have classes running from monday to friday except Tuesdays. boo. No long weekends. Hopefully ill be graduating early next year.If i play my cards right. If only uni was all about Chotaiti,Samchong and Tunit kan? Kenapa tah aku inda jadi card dealer saja?? huhuhuhu.

My flight back was okay. I took the midnight flight out of singapore and chilled out with Clare Nicola (such a posh name) during my transit (courtesy of Alwi hahaha). Spent the afternoon dining,shopping,gossiping and strolling down scotts road. We were hunting for studs. there were many, but mostly over priced so i only got myself the button ones. atu pun priced at 5bucks each i still thought they were a tad over priced. I could make them myself.. tapi when do i have time kan? So i guess it was worth the money lah. I took back my assorted earrings,begawan solo biscuits and flew to melbourne a very kenyang bunny.. no. elephant.no. elephant-mother. hahaha. Thanks Clare for the company. 🙂

hmmmmmmmmm..other then that nothing else. I’m just taking my time unpacking my stuff nie.. i overpacked this time i went back. I took home clothes i didn’t need and brought back clothes i didn’t need. sigh. How i wish i could pack everything in to a pen drive yang basar SPACE nya lah.. jan jua yang 4MB ganya..atu alang2 tu.. muat skirt ganya kali tu huhuhu..yang mini.
