a friend from school posted this up on facebook. try find me. haha. i was only 15 when i was sent for boarding. it has been almost 10 years. and omg. i can’t tell you how much i miss being in those uniforms. i thought they were FABULOUS.
I loved the winter uniforms (as seen above). It composed of a choice of knee high socks or stockings, paired with knee high skirts and collared shirts and a blazer!!!! love love love. During summer it was a dress of ‘lighter’ material and white stockings…but i still preferred the winter uniform. ada yang bini2 gatal2 atu they used to naikkan their skirts just a little bit above their knees. mcm,..seriously? its an all girl’s school? who are you trying to uratz? half of the male teachers were BALDING..so i guess they were after the balding male teachers? ew.
i miss the girl with the orange hair. wait there are SEVERAL girls with orange hair in the photo. hahahahaaha. im talking about the girl with the SHORT orange hair. I dont get it. hahaha was ORANGE in kah at that time???? if so, WHY didn’t i get the memo? hahahahaha. i dont know how i survived living in a house full of girls..mcm i was like practically throwing myself in to a bitchfest. haha. but for some reason, we managed.
i remember the first time i met the girl with the short orange hair. she commented on my Toshiba notebook cause everyone else were using laptops that were provided by the school. hahaha.. the conversation happened as i was going down the stairs in to the reception.
Girl with orange hair: ‘siti siti, wahhhhh toshiba ah?? sattelite some more!!! eh i heard ah toshiba..if u throw down the stairs it wont break one!!!!!!’
me: hehe..nice one. where u from?
Girl with orange hair: BRUNEI.
HAHAHAHAHAHA PENIPU. that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. and then there’s this indo chick that i met during the first night at dinner. She was responsible for introducing me to all the beautiful boutiques and the chic places to eat in Melbourne. I remember our weekend trips to Chapel Street where we would just spend the whole day gawking and drooling over the stuff that at that time we couldn’t afford on the window displays…always saying that we were on a ‘Shopping diet.’ hahaha padahal nada duit??? there was also Seini. the Tongan with the beautiful voice, who used to come with me to Nandos every night but refuses to eat with me insisting that the boarding house food was better. .she was also usually MIA during the weekends. where she goes.. we dont know. hahaha. and Summer.. the korean girl who introduced me to korean bbq & BUBBLE TEA. hahahaha.
9 years later..
the girl in the orange hair has opted a more feminine look.she sports a longer hair with a fabulous fringe.
the indo girl is still fabulous. just left her work in Singapore and returned to her homeland..hopefully settling there PERMANENTLY.
the Tongan girl is now in China..learning mandarin. HOW RANDOM?
and me.. here i am. a working girl.
OH i miss ALL OF THE GIRLS in the photo . they all played a part in making my time in the boarding house memorable.i miss Tiddeman House with all the people in it.
