what is it with women (of all ages) with the tv show “So you think you can dance?” . It’s a reality tv show like Idol the only difference is that it involves dancing. So every week a dance partner gets voted out yada yada yada.. the story of my life yada yada yada. I don’t mind as much pulang, but its just the fact that it goes on for 2hrs ++ pisses me off. Ive been waiting for Nauli to come over dari pukul 7:30 its is now close to half past nine and she’s not here yet. her reason; “Eh, tunggu acara nya yang ini abis dulu ya Sash.. “So you think you can dance”..” mmm.ok. Even my friend upstairs is crazy about the show. I’ll be like Nawa, do u want to walk down and have nandos with me? and she’ll be like “Ok. that’s fine. but can we eat at home? cause im waiting for SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE to come on.” So i’m like thinking, ive got an assignment due this same time next week ya..kalau ku nda antar buleh ku ckp;

i started off by roasting the pumpkin. I notice that Australians hardly make pumpkin pie making it hard for me to find canned pumpkin infact i dont think they have ANY in this country. So i had no choice but to puree them myself. Needless to say that the kitchen looked like it was hit So you think you can dance contestants dancing to; GASOLINA.

TADAAAAAAAAAAAA. Oh. I also didnt have a proper pie-baking-dish , resorted to using a spring form baking dish. And because of this, the pastry that i made was JUST enough to cover the base of the dish. As expected, it came out really flaky and thin. *Note to self, Pie CRUST SHOULD BE THICKER. I thought it looked like cheesecake rather than pie.

oh well. I’ll probably be better at it the next time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE desserts containing pumpkin. Its Raya. and i once more miss out on the “Dudul Labu” my mom usually orders for the house. This is probably the closest i can get to it. I’ve also found a recipe for pumpkin-caramel candy, which i am going to try. but seeing the state of the kitchen, rest assured (mal,kel) its not going to be anytime soon 🙂

Banar. and i hate myself for it. i truely do. I dont know why. But i’d remember their birthdays weeks beforehand and when it comes to the date, i somehow LUPA. which is so paloi. and i’m pissed off at myself for not being able to wish my bestfriends on their birthdays.

this year i somehow (carelessly) managed to forget Bonita’s birthday (15th June) and then there was Livie’s (5th September) and now Hana’s (5th Oct.) & Wanah’s (also the 5th of Oct). To my october babies, i’m so sorry. It wasn’t my intention to not wish you guys promptly on the date and it wasn’t my intention to forget it was your birthdaySs. Its just that sometimes there are too many things going on in my life that i tend to miss out on the things that matters the most. I acknowledge that bein “busy” shouldnt be an excuse and I promise to remember next time.

I’m not even sure if i’m still meeting up with Vievie for Sungkai. But first, i need to find the atm card that ive been neglecting. lol. I was relying on my dad’s cash the whole time he was here and because of that, i have no idea where my atm card is. hehehe.. *scans the room* mcm nada.. eh biartiabah. nada jua kan di bali kali ah..

just a random thought, kalau di brunei atu ada Gucci Prada Hermes apa, kapeh kali laki2 di brunei atu ah? or would it motivate them to work harder? lol. mcm boring jua tu time raya.. “Bang balikan ku beg gusi bang” ..hahaha .. kalau ada gua di brunei atu, time raya panuh kali. pakai laki urang betapuk..baik jua inggan kofom sama nazmi saja. lol.

Just got back from a lamb dinner sponsored by Nawa & Nadia upstairs. I’m so full now that ive refused to take out last night’s dishes from the dishwasher. Amal’s not too happy about it. huhuhu. She’s just popped in two marble cakes in to the oven. She’s been a busy bunny lately, spreading the raya love by making a batch of kueh mur and now marble cakes. Nawa & Nadia gave us 2 containers of cookies pun. I know this raya won’t be as good as the one back home, but we are sure to make the best out of it 🙂

Kamy’s open house would be on the 1st and there’s going to be a BSS Raya gathering on the 2nd day. Next weekend will be Ujai’s open house and i think we’re going to have ours on a Sunday. Not too sure what we’ll be serving up. I’m thinking of the usual roast lamb & rendang (i love kel, si kel suruh aku type ani) but i dont know. that stuff just gets boring after a while. a Korean-themed bbq downstairs at the bbq area would be nice too but then melbourne’s weather has just been over the top crazy that i dont think we should risk having a bbq outside. but yah whatever, any friends of mine who are here in melbourne and are reading this now, make a note; you are all invited to the Harun sisters’ raya gathering next sunday (not this sunday, but the following sunday).

On the topic of Zakat. Students overseas have been asked to pay for their own zakat. But i had a chat with some of my muslim friends in uni earlier this evening and they told me it wasn’t necessary as there are 0 poverty here in melbourne. weird. but whatever it is, ive paid mine. and i asked the people at the mosque where it’ll be going to and they said they’d be giving it to the human appeal thing.. im thinking Somalia? but whatever they do with the money.. manasaja tah durang “Khalas”. huhuhu.

I was told that Brunei would be celebrating raya tommorow..and we’ll be celebrating ours on Saturday. I’d like to wish my family,friends and readers..

My daddy has left the building. uwaaa. bozeng ehz.

Im up early because i’m making a trip to the hairdressers. My hair’s been falling off loads so i guess it is time for me to give it a rest and cut it short. how short? short. I realise that going short would not suit my err.. my VERY horizontally-challeged face frame. but what to do? everyone’s advising me to cut it. except for Nauli that is. She said i should just get a good shampoo. Which i have. but in order for the $$$hampoo to work effectively i still need to cut it.

Nauli recommended Nioxin the other day. Apparently its good for thinning hair. She was using it for a while and saw results immediately. This is what she said;

huhuhuhu. but yeah, ive been skimming online forums and people are t saying its the best product out there for thinning hair.However, unless you are able to get a packaged system, you’re looking at paying $50 for a bottle of conditioner. another $50 on shampoo and another $50 on the repairing gel. bleughhh i sooo hate the fact that good things don’t come in cheap. sigh. Kan makai minyak kelapa atu ku saja, tapi bebau. krg, kalau ku masuk lecture kana pulaukan plang ku krg. kaling pun nda mau duduk siring ku. he he he. drpd ku be minyak kelapa kesekulah alang2 jua kenapa tah ku inda memakai TIGER BALM. lol. skali urang tanya:
