I just received an email saying that there will be a BSS meeting this coming September. Ive never been to one of these before. All those years here, i was happy to just chill out with my own clique. and i dont think there were that many bruneians enough to organize a BSS Association to begin with. huhu. we usually call these meetings:-

“aku kerumah mu”
“jumpa kau dapan Myers”
“behapa ko hari ani?”
“eh yo, ke sydney road, daging ku abis!”
“eh, mamaku melagau makan..ya disini seminggu, jumpa Sawasdee ah” or
“eh kerumah tah mamaku manggil makan!”
“eh anubah, computer ku rusak..buleh kau tulung reformat kan kah?”

Times have changed. Theres an increasing number of brunei students here in melbourne and some have taken the initiative to start up a Brunei Student association= BSS! Im not even sure what it stands for.. BSS..Brunei Student and Sawasdee………….??? lol.

Sawasdee’s a halal thai restaurant here in melbourne. Its popular because its the only thai fine dining restaurant here in Melbourne, new students would always always be introduced to sawasdee as a halal eating place when they FIRST come to melbourne. mcm kana tipu lah. hahahaha.But its good to know they’re going to hold the gathering at Chilli Padi, for a change. this malaysian restaurant in Melbourne central. and i loveee it. the owners of the place are so smart that its fine dining by day and mamak stall (to cater for the mabok-lapas-clubbing students) at night! I think ive mentioned this before..so anyway,

yes.. inshallah im going. its on the 1st of September right? huhuhu. Calling all Bruneians here in Melbourne who secretly reads my blog to come beramai-ramai to chilli padi on the 1st september, at 12pm. according to the email its 15bucks per-head, all you can eat buffet. Its like going to a wedding but in this case ofcourse u have to pay la. hahaha. kau pikir makan free kah?? sorry. hahahaha.

I’m just doing my part as a Brunei student in Melbourne by advertising this. oh. and its Brunei Students SOCIETY. hahahahaha. oops.

So i was at school till about 1 last nite. stopped by chapel street on the way home to have a quick meal. Tired of KFC, we had no choice but to resort to Chapellis. waz the only restaurant open around that time.Been craving for pasta ever since i got back and after spending the whole day at the uni i clearly deserved the plate of chicken fettucini.

the meal was a far cry to what i had today. yup. i had kfc again. wah. now that ive moved to Monash, everyday is a KFC day. huhuhuhu.

Im thinking of taking time off studying this Saturday. Made plans with Natalie to catch Rove at the Comedy Gala held at the princess theatre. Like Natalie, i have been following Rove since i arrived in Melbourne. So this is the perfect chance for me to finally see him. only one thing though.. we don’t really have the tickets to the comedy gala yet. they’ve ran out. Only this ONE seller on ebay can predict if we are going or not.
if no tickets no show lah. sighzzz. bozengz. but hopefully we’ll get them cause there’s nothing better than spending a saturday night watching stand up comedy with my friend nat, the comedian herself. huhuhuhuhhu. Another all time favourite, Hugsey would also be performing. so i’ll be damned if i dont catch the show this saturday.

How can you not love him? His thick kampong accent and facial expressions are enough to make me laugh sampai sikit lagi ku kan stroke. i dont have to understand him to laugh. lol.

on the topic of accents. WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE HAVE TO PUT ON ACCENTS WHEN THEY SPEAK IN ENGLISH??? cawie wah. seriously. Not just BRUNEIANS do it, but OZZIES as well (think Kylie Minogue). SHe talks in this deep british accent in interviews and it shits me! cawie wah. seriously i hate people who put on english/australian accents to show that they are professionals or highly intelligent or to show that they’ve been living in an orang puteh country in the last couple of years. MUN GANYA 2 TAUN JANTAH DULU KAN ngada2 be accent. MEMBARIGALI. kambang bulu telinga ku bah. AKU BATAH JUA SINI INDA JUA KU BE AUSTRALIAN ACCENT. *rolls eyes* i mean id understand it, if you were educated in an english speaking country all your life or the fact that you’ve gone to international schools since you were 2 oh or or or.. if you were an african orphan that happened to be adopted by angelina jolie and brad pitt. but for someone who has just been in the country for a few years to have an accent.. its abit ridiculous lah. i mean, mun ganya kana angkat uleh ANITA SARAWAK jantah dulu kan be accent. (i heard she bleaches her skin to be white)

there’s this indonesian lady in my class who talks in a thick australian accent. It doesn’t take long for me to figure out that the “HELLOIs and FOINEs and How Yei Go-engs” are fake. She claims that she’s been here for 10 years. WHats worse is that she refuses to converse in bahasa. tapi.. ENGLISH NYA BROKEN. mcm. ai buleh. broken tapi be accent…mcm err..ok lah. i’m not sitting next to you anymore.

im at uni. trying to at least get half of my work out of the way. the building that i’m in has been shaking alot in the last hour. ive been told its a new building..and all the wobling is probably caused by poor engineering.and now i’m scared for my life that the ceiling would come down and crush me to my death. but at the same time, i cant be bothered moving. apart from the vibrating walls, its really comfortable in here.

its now 10;30pm. and im having yet another mental block. i’d get myself another cup of coffee from the cafe downstairs but im scared that it might dry up my complection. that’s the only thing about coffee i dont like. how it dries up the skin. *rasa rasa pipi* awu eh. karing sudah eh. also, i think, 2 more jerawatzzzz popped out in the last hour. maybe i should just find a nearest water fountain to fill up my bottle… tapi aku stress. takut ku kalau ku ke fountain, aku mandi. hahaha apakanzzzz.

its cold outside. the newspaper i had earlier (i dont know where it is now) said that it’s 15 degrees today. 15 degrees my ass. its a freezer outside. thank god this is the last month of winter. can’t wait for summer. oh kel owes me a KIPAS. she broke my KIPAS whilst clearing up my room the other day. baik kau ganti kipas ku. payah ku krg bekipas.
