I asked the cleaners here at the hotel what they get paid every month and they told me that they only receive about 50-80 USD. $80 bucks for hard work isn’t much. that’s not even equivalent to what maids get in Brunei. She then told me that she had to fork out USD$200 every 3 months to pay for her daughter’s education..that only leaves her USD$40 to spend on life’s necessities :S
