Ive been a busy bumble bee. I still owe my readers pictures from Glenn & Marcell’s concert and Jazon Mraz’s gig at the Prince of Whales. i havent had the time to resize them yet. Rehearsals for Idola Melben have started and with assignments mounting it’ll take me a while to get around and do it. Patience is a virtue people. huhuhu. On the subject of idola melben. Man i dont know what i got myself in to. The 7 other contestents have big talents and i mean BIGGGG. One of them is in a band, the other is a singing teacher back in indo, the next one has been singing and performing JAZZ all her life…….one is a Buble’ impersonator.. and Andre is a member of Koes Plus.. ok. not really..but with a classic powerful voice like that he may aswell be a member of KOES PLUS…and and.. mmm..pingsan ku dulu. *sigh* anikan aku yang nada background in music at all at all at all. sigh…

and im sick and tired of drinking air limau kapas everyday. that stuff tastes like CRAP. Macam obat cap ibu dan anak perisa lemon. inda jua keluar suara ah. apa punya petua. AND LIME IS JUST SO BLOODY EXPENSIVE HERE OKAY? TRY ONE DOLLAR PER LIME. Lime be import dari LAWAS kali. boooooo.

Im off to do my assignment. I have to atleast get 8 paragraphs of sheer performance management hell out of the way before i go for band practice.

2pm. I’m starving. Trying not to eat out..but too lazy to cook.

I’m absolutely exhausted from lastnite’s concert not to mention voiceless from screaming and singing my heart out to Marcell and Glenn’s performances all night long. Gila.

Metro was packed. Not as packed as Glenn’s concert last year. but packed. Betamu bibir nya urang.. hahaha kalau betamu bibir sama marcell inda jua apa. haha.

Marcell was hot. When i mean hot..i mean SEXY. when i mean SEXY.. i mean OMG *PENGSAN*.

Marcell came on first..singing mostly songs from his latest album “Denganmu”. He did threw in a couple of old songs like.. Rindu, Ketika Kau Menyapa and a medley of Semusim,Mendendam & Firasat towards the end. However,his showmanship was nothing compared to Glenn who blew the crowd away with his energetic, samba driven performance. What he lacked in his latest album (Aku dan Wanita) he compensated in his concert lastnite.. He got the already-sleepy-from-listening-to-marcell crowd ROCKING. Respect!!!!!

So what’s been happening?

I’ve lost weight. *An image of Rahim and Aziz (my brothers) fighting suddenly comes up*

Ok ok. you didnt. i mean. i didn’t. lol. Saja bah. Bagi suspense. Bikin sensasi. Bikin heboh. Brunei yakin seakan akan Malaysia BOLEH. So it was my birthday. doobeedoobeedoo. 21. doobeedoobeedoo. Didn’t do much cause i didn’t have anyone to celebrate it with me plus it was on a weekday the more reason NOT to celebrate. Good thing i wasn’t being difficult and settled for a suprise bday cake and an outing with my sisters, Natalie choot and Ching ee (now Singh Ee) to the movies. I’ll probably celebrate it over the weekend.. have a dinner-theater thing out with my girls.. there’s this jazz club i know down the street that plays very good music..hmm..we’ll see.

Lakehouse like she told it was BEAUTIFUL. It’s an angmo/orangputeh/matsalleh/hollywood version of the korean movie Il Mare (lakehouse). Keanu Reeves made the movie even harder to resist. Although, Sandra Bullock is really showing obvious signs of aging and she’s not even close to aging gracefully like wine. tapai masammaybe. tuak maybe. wine no. So,i’m going to say YES to botox Sandra!! You need it. and probaby a nose lift too!! Sumpah i wont condemn you if u start having all these plastic surgeries. Aku support kau 100%.

I guess that’s the downside of being in hollywood kali. You can never age without getting scrutinized. Hello Liza Minelli??????? (Oh i loved her in cabaret though, one of my favourite movies of all time.. velcom to the caba-reyyy (see? WHY SPELL IT CABARET??) my friends!! well come to theeee cabareeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyy!!!!)

ANYWAY. Lakehouse. To those who have seen it and thought it was stupid go see it again. To those who saw the trailer and thought it was a whole lot of nonsense .. GO SEE the movie. The korean version, Ilmare was just as hard to understand, even more difficult as it is in korean.I myself didn’t finish watching the korean version cause i thought it was too draggy and the time sequence they’re trying to potray wasn’t really effective. I thought by seeing lakehouse i would understand the story more. and i did. and loved it. ok. The reason whyyyy i think most of you thought the movie was nonsense was because of the time sequence. How the hell can Kate (Sandra) who is living in the year 2006 be writing letters to a guy who lives in the year 2002 you ask?. Easy. Pasal rumah atu BEHANTU. Well, they didn’t really say it. but just take it like that lah. Bare in mind at all times that the storyline was taken from a korean movie. KOREAN MOVIES, like malay movies, chinese movies etc etc.. are all NONSENSE punya cerita.Hence, the beauty of the movie actually lies in its NONSENSE. So you have to see this lakehouse atu cematu lah. It’s different from the typical orang puteh romance movie. Macam hello? In the movie, keanu reeves even lugged a tree from his office (or was it the lakehouse itself?) and planted it infront of Sandra bullock’s apartment.

this is all very korean. very asian. very angan angan. very things-to-do-for-your-clingy-koreangirlfriend. Don’t try to make any sense out of this movie..as in dont fight it with logic as it is all made up bah.. so yeah. go watch lake house! go watch lake house! go watch lake house! go watch lakehouse! I liked the cinematography jua. they tried making it very il-mare-ish and suceeded. huhuhu. Kalau yang mau belogic banar atu.. meliat plang documentary. boo.

On another note, ive chosen songs to sing for the finals. I’ll be singing Vina Panduwinata’s Cinta in the first round. And if i make it to the final three ill be singing Chrisye’s – Cintaku and most probably Frank Sinatra’s – Fly me to the moon (yawn). The two songs i dont have a problem with but fly me to the moon??? like i have a choice jua kan. I had to pick out songs from a list of 60 songs. I managed to request Vina’s Cinta though but i didn’tt want to be “pushing it” and make it harder for the band to cari my songs. So goodluck to me. Something that i found on the internet;-

I was supposed to go to the meet and greet session lastnite but i kudn’t be arsed.. inda jua si marcell atu kenalkan kediaku bah..si glenn atu pun inda jua ya membari ku makan. hahahaha. But yeah ill make sure to be at the venue early so that i can get a good view of them performing (sudah atu.) yes yes. can i help it if i’m a walking contradiction? hahahaha.
